My research lies in the intersection between philosophy and more formalized human sciences, seeking to uncover the underlying values and normative structures that enable as well as channel our personal, social and public lives. Currently, the focus is on the public reason project, as a prominent example of the larger PPE approach pioneered by Jerry Gaus.

My research also inquires into the inner working mechanism of intelligence and agency, both natural and artificial, in the hope of reaching a naturalistic understanding of the world as a whole, including the life world. Based on this more comprehensive understanding, some normative implications and planning can and should be made clear. Currently this line of research is focused on AI and robotics.
